“No dog – no mission”. Use of K9 in high angle operations requires special skills and considerations for the handler and specific training for your K9. That is exact what this course is aiming at.

HIGH ANGLE K9 | TACTICAL OR RESCUE

Comprehensive Work At Height/Rope Access training for K9 and handler.
Enhances skills, teambuilding and trust.
Module 1: Building block. Comprehensive “toolbox” consisting of skills and techniques for the handler (in a safe and controlled environment). Followed by an assessment.
Module 2: Scenario based training with K9.
Scenario’s and training will be adapted to your specific operational needs (detection, assault, search and rescue, etc.).
Modern equipment and methodology.
Practical and efficient work methods.

DESCRIPTION

After a comprehensive skill training module we will continue with scenarios where we will gradually introduce your dog to the third dimension. Scenario’s and training will be adapted to your specific operational needs (detection, assault, search and rescue, etc.).

We offer these courses in our purpose built training centre in the Netherlands where you can bring your four legged team mate. We can also train with you and your K9 on site which enhances the team with your special team mate specifically in the environment you will be working in.

Scenario training is an essential part of the course. Candidates have to be very fit. At the end of the course it all comes together in various practical scenarios.

DETAILS

Course Name	High Angle K9 Course (Tactical or Rescue version available).
Prerequisites	– All Levels: Fit and free from medical contra indications. Basic understanding of English language (or translator present and max group size 4 pax). – Suitable, stable and well trained K9.
Length	5 Days dog handler training (Mo-Fr; incl assessment): 2 Days K9 (dog and handler) scenario based training (Mo-Tu). This training can also be facilitated as additional 2-day module to any of the other Safe Tactics Academy courses featured.
Venue	Safe Tactics Academy Training Centre (Amersfoort, The Netherlands) or suitable venue anywhere around the globe (subject to specific conditions and site visit/assessment).
