MARITIME ACCESS COURSE (MAC)

Use of a wide variety of innovative equipment (air launchers, manual and pneumatic poles and power ascenders).
Module 1: Building block. Comprehensive “toolbox” consisting of skills and techniques (in a safe and controlled environment).
Module 2: scenario based training (followed by an assessment).
Rescue techniques included.
Non-complient with local legislation for Work At Height (special operations only).
Modern methodology.
Practical and efficient work methods.

DESCRIPTION

Safe and effective use of modern equipment in maritime and hazardous environment: boarding various types of vessels and offshore structures. This course concentrates on the use of modern boarding equipment: power ascenders, rope launchers, various ladder systems, pneumatic and manual hook on poles and back up alternatives. On top of that the course aims to improve tactical insight and -awareness in this high risk environment.

DETAILS

Course Name	Maritime Access Course (TUAC)
Prerequisites	– All Levels: Fit and free from medical contra indications. Basic understanding of English language (or translator present and max group size 4 pax) – Basic training in rope access- & mountaineering techniques – Open to relevant government personnel only (“NATO friendly”)
Length	5 Days (incl assessment): Monday to Friday.
Venue	Safe Tactics Academy Training Centre (Amersfoort, The Netherlands, 3 days) and scenario location Netherlands (2 days) or suitable venue anywhere around the globe (subject to specific conditions and site visit/assessment).
